We received a check from Uniroyal for $150.00 for the tire / ball promotion. Buddy read the minutes at the last meeting regarding payment of team balances within 30 days, he said that it is not written in the policies or bylaws that way, needs to be voted on and approved. He said that in the worst economic times possibly we can work with the teams on their registration and make them pay for uniforms upfront. It was decided that this would be added to next month’s agenda for discussion and possible vote. Buddy questioned the clubs willingness to pay for Community Projects, not benefiting all players in the club and at 95 players, the extra funds collected at registration do not cover the price for these projects. He had hoped the club could do something for the Mingus Field but can see the club doesn’t have the funds.
Registrar’s Report, Players – 96, Teams – 7, Administrators – 15.
Supply Order, Dave will order 5 cases each blue and white paint.

Cindy, need growth in U-10 area as well, Jay Wessel was considering coaching a team due to health issues will hold off until next year and coach U-11, Stephanie and Juan Carlos U-12, U-14 Cindy, U-16 through U-18, Dave has about seven players, needs players and will have a tryout. Email him names and numbers of potential players. Cory to assist.
Soccer Loccer, all stocked well, Sedona is shared with RR Youth Football, AYSA, AYSO, Dave asked to make sure all we know which equipment is ours.
Bylaw Status, Cindy said they are still working on making the changes, it is very time consuming. Dave asked if it could be complete by April meeting.
Competitive Team Affiliation, with Gilbert Club possibly one year out per Tom Bartmeller. Flagstaff got wind of our interest in becoming affiliated with the Gilbert Club and asked if they could look into doing so as well. Affiliation will open up our club to sponsoring tournaments, better training, and trading players.
Community Projects, Clarkdale fencing is complete, Sedona fencing and nets are currently being worked on, slow due to weather and rock. Club total without tax, $3199.50, check given to Craig Backus.
Summer Training, Schedule after AYSO summer training, June 14th through June 18th.
Will Guerts will check into Sedona Fields availability.
Coaches Report, Cindy – Velociraptors, scheduling friendlies and field trips to games, Craig – Victory, tournament in Alburquerque, good competition, nice complex, next weekend Ostrich Festival, Will attending Ostrich Festival playing side by side the Victory, Bruce, U-12, said Steve opted out of coaching after the January meeting, lost some players, have boys that want to play, funds are an issue. Lee – Vitality, still trying to get started back up after High School trying to get new players registered. Buddy, taking some time off after state championship, looking at summer program with inside play, open gym and a summer league, talking to Mike Reemer and waiting to hear back from Tom at Sedona High. Buddy also questioned the new teams interested in starting up a team in an existing age bracket, must do so without affecting another team in same age bracket or taking players from another team Buddy also wanted to mention that he was upset the winter training funds did not include Lee and his teams since these players were all in high school ball and could not participate. These girls pay same costs as other players. He wanted to know if the same funds were available to Lee’s team and his team to use now, after some thought Dave said they could look at possibilities.
Debbie asked about the summer training would the club pay for it again and pointed out that with the club has spent over $6,000 in community projects since March of 2009 and $5500.00 in training in the last two sessions, it needed to be considered whether the club could afford the $4,000 in summer training. She also would like the members to consider letting the teams pay for their own shipping on supplies and uniforms. Some orders are small and cost as much as a large order to ship. Dave will put this on the agenda and will be voted on at the next meeting in April. The Club is spending more than it is bringing in on it’s registration fees, need careful though.
Dotting I’s and Crossing T’s, Dave just wanted to make sure all coaches and members are following all club procedures.
Concussion Policy, new AYSA concussion policy, literature available for the coaches at the meeting.
Team Travel, Kelly with One Source Hospitality contacted Dave would like to handle team travel arrangements and the club would get $5 to $7.00 per room back.
Mingus Multi-Purpose Field, per Buddy was short $50,000 per last meeting he attended, the school is trying to raise funds, had hoped the club could help. New turf field, all weather running track. Possibly approved but holding off on bleachers.
